No tengo tiempo (ni ganas, para qué negarlo :P) de traducir ;)

Esto viene de Manike en persona:

CitarWhole new range of goggles, should be out at World Cup. rockon

Quick release lenses, with high safety retention system, wider field of vision than anyone else. Smaller target profile. Different comfort and protection levels depending on what you want.

Functional venting system, designed to work in conjunction with the way we breathe. Designed to fit over glasses etc...

Oh, and looks cool. In my opinion anyway, but then I am EXTREMELY biased. So take that as you will, and I don't expect everyone to like them, such is life. mouthoff

How do you know they don't have a system of vents that draw air in from the sides? Or that cause the air to circulate to avoid fogging? How do you know what went into this orignal vents design so that your breathe didn't go to the lens, but worked to draw air across the lens?

Vents were also awesome for their field of view and comfort for all. How do you know that isn't in these goggles? Or how they were designed to fit over and work with glasses?

Do you know about the actual human head scans that were used to determine where vents should be placed for real effect, rather than cosmetics with other goggles? (stunned by how many other goggle manufacturers have you breating straight into solid chunks of plastic).

What do you know about the comfort levels of this goggle? or the protection of it? Or how it was designed to fit real heads digitally scanned? and the features that were subtly designed in to keep it comfortable AND help you hear better... Or about how the vents were designed to allow you to breathe and talk, but not get lip busting hits, or to create flying shards of shell that go through and cut up your mouth...

What do you know about the ASTM testing facility that said this was the "best lens retention system they had ever tested" that is still quick and easy to change.

Or how it was designed to present the minimum target whilst still not feeling 'claustrophobic'.

If you only know that it won't have the rear entry strap to start with nor the open sides vents because of ASTM/safety concerns, and that the full head protection will come after the initial goggle release, then maybe you can be upset by such a' disgrace' to the name, but if you look to see the technolgoy implemented and why it was done, then you may appreciate that even though these aren't the 'old vents' that they hold the innovation and forward thinking to the same values, but are designed for the modern world of paintball.

CitarIt's a different system to change the lenses but just as easy and takes a similar time. It also works to lock the lens into place better, with less chance of paint getting under the lens and into the face area. You also can't wear the goggle with out the lens and components in place.

Vents to me meant many things. I remember them as having great range of vision (although optically they weren't that good), great ventilation, quick change lenses for their time (was still crappy but better than whipper snappers), the rear entry strap, full head gear and innovation for their time.

All things that I've tried to put into the new version. I do get a little frustrated, but am used to the haters. I just wish people would wait and see what's coming for themselves before condemning stuff.

It seems to happen a lot more often lately.

I also understand how it sucks when great names are destroyed by bad products. I've done my best to avoid that with anything I have been involved in. Promaster being one, and now the Vents goggles. I didn't have anything to do with the Icon...

The top three are of the 'Predator' line, the mouthguard (yellow piece) is a different material which is still flexible (black is very flexible, between Flex 7 and Profiler material) but more rigid so it stops shots in the centre face breaking your lips like it can with other goggles. The black is very soft in this level of mask, for glancing shots and bounces/comfort. In essence the whole faceplate is rigid enough to keep it's shape because of the way it is designed but soft and flexible for comfort and fit and getting in close to your gun (it makes anyone in a Profiler look like a fat cheeked kid, and anyone in a Flex 7 look like a wide mouthed frog). The reduction in target it makes to your head is astounding. It has the same space where your head fits in and in front of your mouth for breathing, but none of the wasted space at the sides of your cheeks where you don't need it.

There aren't vents on the side because it was found they don't do much apart from make it harder to clean a goggle, and to actually cause paintballs to break on the hard edges, by removing them there was no loss to the anti fogging technologies implemented, but more paintballs glanced off, and the mask was easier to clean. It wasn't planned but the front of the mouth area is also soft enough to bounce a direct hit. It was actually intended to be a second material so it was more rigid while still flexing in order to absorb the energy to stop it hurting your mouth and the side effect is that not only does it save your mouth but 'can' bounce a hit from straight on. Not a bad side effect though...

There will be single and thermal lenses available.

This is the mid level version below. The faceplate is all one material which is still flexible but more rigid than the Predator series. It offers more protection from impacts but slightly less chances of glancing or bouncing balls (although the material is soft enough and the design still helps that to happen). The mouth guard is the same material as the faceplate here so you don't get the 'Predator Fangs' look. It is still flexible in the mouth again to help take the energy out of any straight on shots that might bust your lips.
What these don't show you is how the lens works or some of the funky stuff inside. Not sure now that these are leaked if we are going to release more or not.

The lens system is a quick release system with some very advanced safety technology implemented. It's unlike anything else available.

if you don't like the 'Predator' series with the two tone, you can get black on black which just looks awesome. Matched with the smoke lens it's got quite a style to it.
